The 12 Hours of Sebring is renowned as a race that is even harder on machinery and drivers than Le Mans, and is seen as an ideal preparation run for the famed French race. The track surface has 3.04 mi (4.89 km) of asphalt and 0.7 mi (1.1 km) of concrete.
