Boulder Junction is a town in Vilas County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 956 at the 2018 census. In 1903, the Milwaukee Railroad laid tracks to the area that became known as Boulder Junction. While the railroad served the booming logging industry, it also attracted outdoors enthusiasts who came to fish and hunt.

Camp Interlaken was established in 1935, when Herbert Magida bought the Interlaken Hotel in Hartland, Wisconsin to serve as a summer camp for boys. In 1938 Magida moved the camp to a location in Eagle River, home to a number of other Jewish summer camps , where it remains.

The camp buildings dates to the 1920s when the modest resort was built and operated as a brothel and speakeasy. After many run-ins with the law, the madam, Annie Peck, was finally convicted of running "a bawdy house of ill fame", and sent to the women's prison in Taycheedah, WI in 1942. Her husband Gordon Peck was also convicted and served time.
