The company acquired the property, rights, and franchises of the Mississippi & Atlantic Railway Company and of the Le Roy Narrow Gauge Railroad Company on November 26, 1878, and December 10, 1878, respectively. Whether or not any construction work had been completed by either of these companies to date of sale of their properties is not of record.
