Guru Nanak Dev University campus is spread over 500 acres (200 ha) near Kot Khalsa, approximately eight km (5.0 mi) west of Amritsar on the Amritsar-Lahore highway, next to Khalsa College. Gurdip Singh Randhawa (16 February 1925 – 29 August 2015) was an Indian academic who served as Vice-Chancellor of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar and as Principal of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College, Delhi.
