The Sioux Falls Stampede are a Tier I junior ice hockey team based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The Stampede are members of the Western Conference of the United States Hockey League (USHL). The team plays home games at the Denny Sanford Premier Center, the largest facility in capacity and size in the USHL. The team was established in 1999.
Prior to the 2011–12 season the team was the Tulsa Rampage, a USA Hockey-sanctioned Tier III Junior A ice hockey team, based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The team played in the Midwest Division of the WSHL at the Oilers Ice Center. In 2011, Julie Wilson, the owner at the time, sold the Rampage to Mark Lantz of Cheyenne, Wyoming. [1]
The franchise was formed in 2010 as the Syracuse Stampede, an original franchise in the 2010–11 season of the Continental Junior Hockey League (CJHL). The Stampede moved indoors to the Ford Arena in 1997; it was formerly held in an outdoor stadium (now demolished) near Lakeview Park. [2] Since 1999, the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) has hosted a Built Ford Tough Series (originally Bud Light Cup) event at the Ford Idaho Center in what has been a major stop of the tour.

The Central Texas Stampede were one of the "original six" teams of the now defunct Western Professional Hockey League. On October 15, 1996 the Stampede defeated the Waco Wizards 5-4 in the first ever WPHL contest. [1] The Stampede had four head coaches during its five year run in the WPHL.
It seats 6,113 for basketball games and 4,760 for indoor football and hockey. [ 5 ] It was the home of the Sioux Falls Skyforce basketball team (1989–2013), the Sioux Falls Storm indoor football team, and the Sioux Falls Stampede ice hockey team, as well as a variety of state high school championship events.
The SKYCITY Stampede (formerly Southern Stampede) is one of the original teams competing in the New Zealand Ice Hockey League. It is based in Queenstown, New Zealand and was founded in 2005. The team was known as the Southern Stampede until 2016, when Skycity became the sides title sponsor. The team's home ice is the Queenstown Ice Arena.
