Yea, Emily, you saw your one and only miniatures store in Lincoln City. Rocking Horse Mall has had the dollhouse store for 40+ years. The owner is super nice. In September there should be a mini show in Portland. It's fun. And in Vancouver, Country Store Miniatures operates out of a barn I believe, by appointment.
3.5k. Location: Maine. Posted August 4, 2010. Handley House distributes Tiny Details items, so they're available everywhere. An awful lot of the little doodads like mini tissue boxes, calendars, games, etc that you see in miniatures shops in your towns and online are from Tiny Details.

Good poll! My interest in miniatures began when I was in 5th grade. My father decided to build a dollhouse from scratch for my mum for her birthday. He worked at my elementary school so he built it in the workshop there so she wouldn't suspect. I would go in after school and help him with the simple stuff shingles, etc...
I began my dollhouse building career back in 1980/81 and Concord Miniatures were going strong. They were pretty much the equivalent of the current Classics furniture. Factory made, inexpensive, and a bit bulky but still nice. I had many pieces of it, and I can't complain about it...it was good furniture.

I was at my favorite miniature shop this past weekend and asked them about the moveable glue. They were the ones that had told me it wasn't going to be made anymore. Apparently, whoever makes it changed their minds and it is still being made. I paid $7.95 for the bottle I have.
