  2. Errors on Michael Jackson's Thriller - Steve Hoffman Music Forums

    forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/errors-on-michael-jacksons-thriller.146848

Spain (EU) Some time ago I mentioned in a thread that I had found several errors on the recording of Thriller. One of them was a low click I hear at the 5-second mark (right channel) of the song "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'". On that occasion the person in charge of catalog at Sony Music (sorry, can't remember his name now) chimed in and said ...

Thriller isn't considered a Toto album for the same reason Pet Sounds isn't considered a Wrecking Crew album. Not quite the same. The Toto guys had a MUCH larger role in writing Jackson's songs than the Wrecking Crew did on Pet Sounds. Not only did Steve Porcaro write one of the songs, but Toto were the primary arrangers on several of the other ...

Knowing the estate, it's going to be nothing but "unreleased" tracks that either have a) actually already been released as bonus content on other releases b) tracks that leaked ages ago c) all of the above I also imagine it's going to end up like the "special edition" of THIS IS IT and have like 5 bonus tracks on one cd (hardly enough to justify the second disc) but happy to be proven wrong.

The Japanese CD is selling for around $150, which is also a tad over budget. It look like DSD files are available for sale and download both on HDTracks and on Acoustic Sounds: Acoustic Sounds: Michael Jackson-Thriller-DSD Single Rate 28MHz64fs Download|Acoustic Sounds ».

puffyrock2 Forum Resident. Location: Louisiana. For a cheap, easy to find copy, the 2001 special edition sounds great to my ears. Avoid the more recent Thriller 25 reissue with the bonus tracks. Of course, the SACD is the ultimate version, but it is OOP and expensive. puffyrock2, May 20, 2011.

I have Off the Wall, Thriller, Bad and Dangerous along with a Motown Compact Classics comp that covers his Jackson 5 and first couple singles/albums. I'd say I have all the relevant music from him. His post Dangerous period seemed to be a decline in creative and musicality yet a large increase in tabloid/behavioral concerns.

A Twitter account called "Thriller 40" posted a sample...I think they have the same source...the source being a Thriller 40 disc. The Estate is terrible, incompetent, and doesn't seem to care about MJ's legacy. I'm a 25-year-old NEET who still lives with his parents, and even I could do a better job than the Estate did with Thriller 40.

Location: Miami/Santiago de Chile. cherbette said: ↑. This is probably one of the most discussed albums here on the SH forums. However, I've read all sorts of conflicting reviews here regarding this album on vinyl...some say the original US LP sounds best, Dutch 1st press, Thriller 25 reissue, CBS Mastersound Half Speed etc...
