Reverend Gerald Robinson was convicted in 2006 of the 1980 murder of Sister Margaret Ann Pahl at Mercy Hospital in Toledo. Pahl had been strangled and stabbed 31 times. Prosecutors in 1980 did not charge Robinson, who denied any guilt, citing insufficient evidence. The Pahl case was reopened in 2003 after a diligent reexamination of the case file.
