The following is a list of arenas ordered by seating capacity, which is the maximum number of seated spectators the arena can accommodate for a sports event. Only the capacity for indoor sports, such as basketball, ice hockey, and volleyball, are included. Currently all arenas with a capacity of 15,000 or more are included.
SKA Arena (Russian: СКА Арена) is a multi-purpose indoor arena in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Opened in 2023, it is the home arena of SKA Saint Petersburg of the Kontinental Hockey League. With a capacity of 21,500 for ice hockey games, it is one of the largests hockey arenas in the world,along the Bell Center in Montreal,Canada.
The Ice Palace is primarily used for ice hockey and was the home arena for SKA Saint Petersburg from 2005 until 2024, when the team moved into the new SKA Arena, the largest hockey arena in the world. It hosted the IIHF European Champions Cup in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008. It is also used for concerts, exhibitions and as a skating rink.
