The Chevrolet Silverado EV is a battery electric full-size pickup truck, to go on sale in Fall 2023 as part of the 2024 model year. Although it uses the Silverado nameplate, it shares few structural traits with the Silverado line, and is instead based on the electric platform used by the GMC Hummer EV.
The usage of the C/K nomenclature was carried over from the previous generation, with "C" denoting two-wheel drive trucks and "K" denoting four-wheel drive vehicles. Chevrolet trucks were denoted in a 10/20/30 series (for 1 ⁄ 2 -ton, 3 ⁄ 4 -ton, and 1-ton); GMC trucks returned as a 1500/2500/3500 series (badged 15/25/35 from 1973–80).
