Winky's Hamburgers was a chain of hamburger fast food restaurants in and near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.It was founded by two brothers, Harold and Bernard Erenstein in 1962. [1] [2] Their slogans were "Fast Food Cheap" and "Winky's Makes You Happy To be Hungry."
In 1994, Joseph Horne Co., Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was acquired by Federated and its 10 locations absorbed by Lazarus. Lazarus moved into the 630,000 square feet (59,000 m 2) Horne's building for one year before building a new more modern location.
In 1999, Petra Ministries bought the former Zayre store behind the mall and converted it to a church.
