I'm so happy they did a tutorial on the this - I've been thinking about making one after watching their tutorial on tying quilt and I watched a video yesterday with a different method where you s ew strip sets then unpick and resew the end squares and it was confusing as heck to me, lol.

    Re: Trip around the world quilt. The short answer is yes. Getting the same effect would be dependent on the JR having a good balance of colors. Basically you would need it to have 10 "sets" of four of the same/similar colors. You would arrange them in the same order for each quadrant of the quilt.

Finally, there are many free block patterns that you could look for on the internet. Many of them only use 2 - 4 colors.

When ever I use minky for backing fabric, when I'm done, I trim the batting away from the edge of the quit top and trim the minky backing fabric to 2 inches all the way around, then I folded it and pull it over to the top and stitch it down.

    This is a cool quilt, but...since the state templates are NOT provide in the tutorial, and you want to make the pattern blocks, you will be forced to purchase the pattern for $19.95? Although, you can probably find state templates, adjust the sizing and reverse the pics to create your own templates from sites like Pinterest.

    December 20, 2020, 08:56 PM. looks like some ironing fusible onto fabric, scissor cutting, fusible applique. those scan x cut devices may help the cutting time. paper piecing that may take more moments of time. will admire from afar. my list is rather long. thanks for posting xx.
