Messages. 3,329. Apr 7, 2019. #1. On the road for work and I felt like I need another amp. Picked up a Marshall Code 25. From the reviews and posts I have read, I guess this isn't a real popular amp. I am having fun with it. After chasing MIAB tones, I got it in a Marshall.

  4. Boss Katana vs Marshall CODE - The Gear Page

May 16, 2019. #7. You can get some decent tones out of the Code, but you have to work for them. As usual with this type of amp, every one of the preset sounds are pretty terrible. The Katana on the other hand behaves much more like a regular amp and is very easy to dial in.

  5. Gig reports with Marshall Code 25/50? - The Gear Page

Wondering if anyone has giged thier Code, either version, and how it went. Im sure the 25 would have to be miced, but was it loud enough for onstage volume with a full band? On a side note, Sweetwater has the 50 in stock, bad for me, no cash, maybe good for someone else.

1,569. Jan 30, 2018. #7. Less tweaking + stereo = ID Core. Most versatile = Spider V. Just plain bad = Code 25 ( although it is probably the best sounding of the Codes, except maybe for the 100 head). Out of those 3, I would probably go for the ID Core. F.

I thought about doing this but then reprogrammed my Vypyr VIP 2 and couldn't be happier. I think the Vypyr has a better foot controller too because of the volume/wah pedal..

I got a Code 25 today, delivered from Canada. It is a good, little modeling amp. These things are all like onions; you have to peel through some terrible presets to get to the sweetness. There are good sounds in this thing. I prefer it to the THR series as a desktop, and the Mustang as a...

The 25 is plenty loud and doesn't sound boxy to me, at all. I purchased both the 25 and 50 used. (total of $300 invested for both) The 25 was total love right out of the box. I was floored to be honest, and I have numerous tube amps, but the 25 was love right from the start. Liked it so much I purchased the 50 used.
