Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary (OFSDS), officially Old Friends Senior Dogs, Inc., is a nonprofit animal rescue group in Mount Juliet, Tennessee. It focuses on the rescue of elderly, "senior" dogs from shelters where they are otherwise likely to be euthanized.
Carol Hine began the sanctuary in 2004 to provide a more compassionate setting for senior animals who would otherwise spend their last days in animal shelters or pounds. After a short time in a smaller location, the sanctuary moved to a 3-acre (1.2 hectare) farm in Mission, British Columbia. [2]
