Louise Ozelle Martin (9 January 1911 – 15 July 1995) was an American professional photographer who received recognition for her photographs of Houston Freedom Riders, [1] Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and beyond. She is known as a pioneer for African-American female photographers.
In the mid-1960s, after being unable to secure special coaching from the LTA, he emigrated to Australia to work as a freelance photographer. [2] He secured a scholarship in 1966 to Pan American College (Texas), transferring from there to the University of Houston, where he met his wife Karen. [1]
