A tributary of the East Fork of the White River, the creek begins in southwestern Bartholomew County, flows through southern parts of Brown and Monroe counties, and meets the White River just downstream from Bedford in Lawrence County.

The Southwest Corridor Park is 4.7 miles (7.6 km) in length and occupies 52 acres (21 ha) of land running alongside the right of way of the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority's Orange Line and Commuter Rail lines and Amtrak's Northeast Corridor from Back Bay Station to Forest Hills Station.
