The third generation Proton Saga, codenamed P2-13A is an A-segment saloon engineered by Malaysian automobile manufacturer Proton. It was launched on 28 September 2016 as the successor to the second generation Proton Saga. The third generation Saga is based on the outgoing Saga FLX platform and is powered by the Iriz's 1.3-litre VVT engine.

The first CamPro engine used in older Gen-2 models.. The first CamPro engine made its debut in 2004 fitted to the newly released Gen•2 models. It was codenamed S4PH and was a DOHC 16-valve 1.6-litre engine that produced 110 bhp (82 kW) of power at 6,000 rpm and 148 N⋅m (109 ft⋅lbf) of torque at 4,000 rpm.

The second generation Proton Saga is based on a stretched Proton Savvy platform and was developed in-house by Proton with technical support from Lotus Cars and LG CNS. Proton launched a mid-life facelift model called the Proton Saga FL on 30 November 2010. [2] A further improved model called the Proton Saga FLX was launched eight months later. [3]
