Gilgit (/ ˈ ɡ ɪ l ɡ ɪ t /; Shina: گلیٗت; Urdu: گلگت IPA: [ˈɡɪlɡɪt]) is a city in Pakistani-administered Gilgit–Baltistan in the disputed Kashmir region. [1] It is the capital of the Gilgit-Baltistan region. The city is located in a broad valley near the confluence of the Gilgit and the Hunza rivers.

Gahkuch (Urdu: گاہکوچ) is the main city of Ghizer District in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. The city lies on the way to Ishkoman. [1] Surrounded by mountains, it lies 72 kilometers northwest of Gilgit, the capital of the Gilgit-Baltistan region. Pakistan's 1998 census recorded the population of Gahkuch as 10,142. [2]

Diamer District (Urdu: ضلع دیامر), also spelled Diamir District, [1] [2]) is a district in the Gilgit-Baltistan region of Pakistan.The headquarters of the district is the town of Chilas.
It is one of the 14 districts of the Gilgit-Baltistan region. It was established in 2015 by the division of the Hunza–Nagar District in accordance with a government decision to establish more administrative units in Gilgit-Baltistan. [2] The district headquarters is the town of Karimabad.
