Sunburst Finish is the third studio album by English rock band Be-Bop Deluxe, released in February 1976. [2] It was recorded in Abbey Road Studios, London. [3]The album contains what would become one of their few forays into chart success; the February 1976 single "Ships in the Night", which reached number 23 in the UK Singles Chart.

Paul Avron Jeffreys (13 February 1952 – 21 December 1988) was an English rock musician. He played bass guitar in Cockney Rebel between 1972 and 1974, working on the group's first two albums, and later worked with a number of British bands, including Be-Bop Deluxe (1974), [ 1 ] Warm Jets (1977–1980) and Electric Eels (1980–1981).
Later that year he joined Be-Bop Deluxe, with whom he played and recorded until 1978, when he joined The Dukes. In 1980 he joined Tandoori Cassette, a group featuring ex-members of Nazareth , Jethro Tull and The Sensational Alex Harvey Band , however this group did not make any recordings except a single "Angel Talk" c/w Third World Briefcases.
Simon Andrew Clark (born 1956) [1] [2] is an English keyboard and synthesizer player best known for working alongside guitarist Bill Nelson in art rock band Be-Bop Deluxe and their synthpop offshoot Red Noise. One of his earlier involvements in music was as member of a progressive rock band from Sheffield, Yorkshire, called Mother's Pride. [2] [3]

By the time of the disbanding, Nelson was writing material intended to be part of the Be-Bop Deluxe repertoire, but instead played by his next band, Red Noise, formed alongside keyboardist Andy Clark and Nelson's brother Ian. Red Noise released an album with more electronic-based music than Drastic Plastic, Sound-on-Sound, in 1979.
