Spelter City is a populated place within the city of Henryetta, Oklahoma. [1] [2] It is located northeast of Henryetta’s town center, and west of Dewar, Oklahoma.[3]The area was originally a separate platted addition formally called the Henryetta Townsite Company, but which Henryetta annexed in 1916.
Henryetta first hosted minor league baseball in 1914, when the Henryetta "Boosters" began play during the season. [1] On July 10, 1914, the Joplin-Webb City Miners of the Class D level Western Association moved to Guthrie, Oklahoma with a record of 22–46 playing in the six-team league.
Henryetta is also served by US Route 266 and Oklahoma State Highway 124. [16] Henryetta Municipal Airport (FAA ID: F10), owned by the City of Henryetta, is located about 3 miles southwest and offers a 3501 x 50 ft. (1067 x 15 m) paved runway. [17]
