Farewell, My Lovely was the first Philip Marlowe novel to be filmed. In 1942, The Falcon Takes Over, a 65-minute film that was the third in the Falcon series about Michael Arlen's gentleman sleuth Gay Lawrence (played by George Sanders), used the plot of Farewell, My Lovely.
Turnabout is a novel by Margaret Peterson Haddix, set in the future. It was first published in 2000 by the Aladdin division of Simon & Schuster, Inc. The novel switches between 2002 and 2085 by chapter.

I just followed the book and added explanations of the plot when the book does. Most Chandler books explain everything at the end so that's how I structured it.
