Zori (/ ˈ z ɔː r i /), also rendered as zōri (Japanese: 草履 （ ぞうり ）, Japanese pronunciation: [d͡zo̞ːɾʲi]), are thonged Japanese sandals made of rice straw, cloth, lacquered wood, leather, rubber, or—most commonly and informally—synthetic materials.
