The Yorke Valley Football Association disbanded in 1936, but was reformed in 1945. In 1961 the Association absorbed the clubs from the Yorke Peninsula Football Association (see above). The Association changed its name to Yorke Valley Football League in 1963. In 1994 the Yorke Valley Football League absorbed the Southern Yorke Peninsula (see above).
