The blue-breasted fairywren (Malurus pulcherrimus), or blue-breasted wren, is a species of passerine bird in the Australasian wren family, Maluridae. It is non-migratory and endemic to southern Western Australia and the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia.
Also named the turquoise wren. It is found in mulga and mallee country across much of South Australia and the southern Northern Territory . It has lighter blue or turquoise upperparts than the splendid fairywren, as well as a black rump.
