Regan Smith (/ ˈ r eɪ ɡ ən /; born February 9, 2002) is an American competitive swimmer who specializes in backstroke and butterfly events. As a teenager, Smith was regarded as the best American swimmer of her age group. She broke out on the international stage at the 2019 World Championships, winning two gold medals.
