On 14 December 2018, Aaj Tak launched India's first Hindi high-definition channel, Aaj Tak HD. [2] Aaj Tak HD broadcasts news and two extra shows like Duniya Aaj Tak aired from 2019 (transl. World up to the minute) covering world news, Business Aaj Tak aired from 2019 (transl. Business up to the minute) covering the financial news of India and the world.
Sandesh is a leading Gujarati daily newspaper that started publications in Ahmedabad, Gujarat in 1923. It has the second largest readership in Gujarat as of 2019 according to the Indian Readership Survey . [ 1 ]
GSTV was launched on 9 December 2012. [3] It is the brainchild of the doyen of Gujarati media Shreyans Shah [5] who ran the premier Gujarati newspaper Gujarat Samachar.This was the first channel in Gujarat to have an open studio.
Early newspapers in Gujarati are published from Bombay and they covered commercial and business news chiefly. They were mainly published by Parsi community and served area of Bombay (now Mumbai). On 1 July 1822, the first Gujarati newspaper Bombayna Samachar was started by Fardunjee Marzban as a weekly business journal with 150 subscribers.
