Stephanie Ann Alexander AO (born 13 November 1940) [1] is an Australian cook, restaurateur and food writer.. After studying to become a librarian and travelling the world at the age of 21, Alexander's first restaurant, Jamaica House, opened in 1964.
It has operated as a restaurant since opening and is the oldest restaurant in Broward County, Florida. [ 3 ] [ 4 ] On August 10, 1990, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places . It is located at 2980 Northeast 31st Avenue. [ 5 ]
