"The Blind Man in the Bleachers" is a single written by Sterling Whipple [2] and famously performed by American singer David Geddes. His version, titled "The Last Game of the Season (A Blind Man in the Bleachers)", reached number 18 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1975. [3]
Geddes had only one other notable entry, the top 20 hit "The Last Game of the Season (A Blind Man in the Bleachers)", which entered the Hot 100 top 40 three weeks after "Run Joey Run" had left the Hot 100. "Run Joey Run" was used on the May 4, 2010, episode of Glee.
"Run Joey Run" was released in the late summer of 1975, and by October the song had peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100.
