Clear Lake is home to the Clear Lake Yacht Club, a sailing club in downtown Clear Lake, Iowa. Many members race and equally informally cruise the lake. Each weekend between Memorial Day and Labor Day, the course is set on the main basin of the lake and boats can be seen racing for miles. Another sailing main stay is the Cougar Bay beach.

McIntosh Woods State Park is a 60-acre (24 ha) state park in Cerro Gordo County, Iowa, United States, near the city of Ventura. The park, which opened in 1944, is located on the north shore of Clear Lake, the second-largest lake in the state. It is a popular access point to the lake for fishers and boaters on account of its three-lane boat ramp.
Iowa City has the distinction of being the city with longest time between hosting an overnight stay, at 42 years (1976 and 2018). Lansing is the next-longest at 40 years (1977 and 2017); and Centerville and Leon are tied for the third-longest at 35 years (both hosted in 1981 and 2016).
Clear Lake Township covers an area of 13.03 square miles (33.7 km 2) and contains one incorporated settlement, Ventura. The city of Clear Lake borders it to the east. References
