Basia Danilow (born January 23 in Brooklyn, New York) is a diverse violinist who engages in chamber music, recording, orchestral and solo performances. She has appeared in recital at Lincoln Center , Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall , Merkin Concert Hall and the Kosciuszko Foundation as well as in Yugoslavia and Russia.
In 2003 he gave the Chicago Symphony orchestra premiere of the Elliott Carter Violin Concerto. Chen is a frequent guest at major music festivals including the Marlboro Music Festival , Aspen Music Festival , La Jolla Summerfest , and the Schloss-Moritzburg Festival in Dresden, where he has collaborated with Emanuel Ax and Richard Goode .
