Matthew Adam Garber (25 March 1956 – 13 June 1977) [1] [2] was a British child actor, most notable as Michael Banks in the 1964 film Mary Poppins. His other screen credits include The Three Lives of Thomasina (1963) and The Gnome-Mobile (1967), appearing alongside actress Karen Dotrice in all three films they made for Walt Disney Pictures .

I can confirm Matthew attended St Paul's School, Winchmore Hill. I was in his class and at the time the Garber family were living in Vicar's Moor Lane, Winchmore Hill. When Thomasina was released a party from the school went to The Odeon, Southgate to watch a screening of the film. John Cranston I think it was St Paul's School Winchmore Hill.
