From December 11 2023 till December 8 2024, the Diocese of Joliet-in-Illinois, celebrated its 75th anniversary. Founded on December 11, 1948 by Pope Pius XII, it celebrated 75 years in 2023. The celebration was inaugurated by Bishop Ronald Hicks. During this several special liturgies were celebrated to mark the momentous occasion.
