WBZI (1500 AM "Real Roots Radio") is a daytime-only radio station in Xenia, Ohio, United States, operating with 500 watts. Its current owner Town and Country Broadcasting operates it with a country oldies format serving Greene, Clark, eastern Montgomery and surrounding counties.
Its current format, "Classic Country Radio", consists of country oldies from the 1950s up to the 1980s as well as bluegrass and country gospel music. The station is the Western Ohio/Eastern Indiana repeater of WBZI (AM) 1500 in Xenia, Ohio, which serves Xenia, Springfield, eastern Dayton and surrounding areas.
It became classic country in 2003 as a brief AM/FM simulcast of WBZI until WSWO-FM was sold to EMF Broadcasting becoming WKLN, the southwest Ohio repeater of K-LOVE, a national Christian Contemporary format. On March 23, 2018, WKFI rebranded as "Real Roots Radio". [3] WKFI retains the simulcast of WBZI to this day.
