Bus Éireann (Irish pronunciation: [ˌbˠɔsˠ ˈeːɾʲən̪ˠ]; "Irish Bus") is a state-owned bus and coach operator providing services throughout Ireland, with the exception of Dublin, where bus services are provided by sister company Dublin Bus. It is a subsidiary of Córas Iompair Éireann (CIÉ).
Some other Bus Éireann services use a stop across from the station on Lower Glanmire Road, which is listed on timetables as "Lwr Glanmire Rd (Opp Kent Station)". The current bus station building was originally the Letterkenny railway station for the County Donegal Railways. [7] It was adjacent to the Letterkenny railway station for the Londonderry and Lough Swilly Railway; however, this was demolished after the railway line closed down and has been replaced by road leading into a shopping centre, as well as parking spaces serving the present bus station.

In 2024, a new bus station for Bus Éireann vehicles opened, connecting the new bus station with the current railway station through a concourse previously occupied by the toilet block. The new terminal has 20 bus bays with digital information screens as well as new signage, seating, ticket office, machines and staff facilities. [ 12 ]
Waterford Bus Station serves the city of Waterford in the south-east of Ireland. It is situated on the quay in Waterford. It was opened in 1987 and redeveloped in 2000. [1] There are 16 stands for buses. The station has a shop, travel centre, security offices, toilets and ticket desk and machines.
