Sweet Home Central School District is a New York State public school district that serves the towns of Amherst and Tonawanda, New York of Erie County. The school district serves about 4,000 students in seven schools including one high school , one middle school , four elementary schools , and one alternative School.
It is a small country school located a few miles north of Yoakum. It teaches children K-8th grade. High school students attend school in either the Yoakum Independent School District (the district states that most students choose this option; thus, it aligns its calendar with Yoakum's) or the Hallettsville Independent School District.

Football is a cherished sport at Sweet Home. The Sweet Home Panthers Varsity Football team has won the Section 6 Class A Championship 8 times since 2002: 2002, 2007-2012, & 2014 [5] and won the New York State Championship 2 times: 2008-2009. [5]
