The Charlatans (often referred to as The Charlatans UK in the United States) are an English rock band formed in Birmingham, West Midlands in 1988. [1] As of 2000, the band’s line-up consists of lead vocalist Tim Burgess , guitarist Mark Collins , bassist Martin Blunt, and keyboardist Tony Rogers.

The Charlatans were an American folk rock and psychedelic rock band that played a role in the development of the San Francisco Haight-Ashbury music scene during the 1960s. The band have released thirteen studio albums to date. Before the release of the 2004 Charlatans album Up at the Lake, [6] Burgess was living in Los Angeles in the US, away from the other band members who were still based in England.
