The 10 metre air pistol is an Olympic shooting event governed by the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF). It is similar to 10 metre air rifle in that it is shot with 4.5 mm (or .177) caliber air guns at a distance of 10 metres (11 yards), and that the match consists of a qualification round of 60 competition shots within 75 minutes.
Unbatched ammunition, especially if the air gun is not regularly cleaned, is generally thought to be capable of only 8.0 mm (0.315 in) diameter group sizes. Batch-testing match pellets for a particular gun is not considered worthwhile until the shooter reaches a high proficiency level (around the 95% level, i.e., 570 for the qualification round).

InterShoot is an annual international airgun shooting competition hosted in Den Haag in the Netherlands. [1] It is run to ISSF standards but on a less formal basis than major sanctioned events, providing an opportunity for junior and development athletes to build match experience in an international setting.
The pistol is made of metal like its model and weighs 1040 g, in the "Competition" version 1150 g. Loaded and with a silencer attached, up to 1300 g or even more can be achieved. This high degree of similarity to the P88 offers the sports shooter a considerable level of realism for training shooting.
