In 1922, the Old Mill Tavern was built by Louis Dorman (b.1895-d.1976) in Waterford Village. [13] It was located at 5828 Dixie Highway where the road crosses of the Clinton River. It was the most popular restaurant in Waterford Village for over a half century. The tavern was destroyed by fire in 1982 and was never rebuilt.
