1 mg/kg is 1 part per million, or 0.0001% 1% is 10000 ppm or 10000 mg/kg = 10 g/kg. Guest Top. More info.
ppm is mg/g so your mg/kg is really part per trillion which = 100ppm and mg/kg to a % --> 1 mg = 1e-6 kg so if you had 1mg and 1kg your percent would be 1e-6% or 0.000001% Guest

Please help in converting 40 mg/kg to mg/m3. The surface area of particle is >50 m2/g, density is 6.67 g/mL at 25 °C(lit) and bulk density is 0.51 g/mL.
Re: mg/kg to cc by Laura » Fri Oct 29, 2010 6:03 am I had a very similar question and after much searching found that you have to use the package insert for each drug to determine how many mg per mL are present in the particular drug.
Hi, could you please help me to convert "milligrams per kilograms to micrograms per gram (mg/kg to ug/g)? The specific numbers I need to convert to ug/g are: 317mg/kg and 64.5mg/kg. Your kind help is appreciated.
I have a sample that is telling me I have 33700 mg/kg. How do I take that out to get kg/tonne? Is it - 0. ...
There are 1 million mg in 1 kg, so 15 mg/kg IS 15 ppm (by weight). Note that ppm is a vague, poorly defined term. It can express a ratio by weight, volume, or mole fraction. Which "flavor" of ppm is meant should ALWAYS be specified. If you meant ppm by volume or mole fraction, there is not enough info.
0.5 mg/kg = 0.5 ppm = 500 ppb = 500 000 ppt. The difference between 1 mg and 1 kg is 1 000 000 (one million), so 1 mg/kg is one part per million (1 ppm). To convert from parts per million (ppm) to parts per billion (ppb), simply multiply by 1000 (this works because the fractions 1/1 000 000 and 1000/1 000 000 000 are equivalent).
