The RM of Corman Park No. 344 was formed by the amalgamation of three rural municipalities – the RMs of Cory No. 344, Warman No. 374 and Park No. 375. [3] The three RMs were disorganized on December 31, 1969 [6] to enable the incorporation of the RM of Corman Park No. 344 on January 1, 1970.

The town is located in the Rural Municipality of Corman Park No. 344, and is about 26.8 [1] km north of Saskatoon. The Dominion Land Survey description of Dalmeny's location is Section 10 Twp 39 Rge 6 W3.
It is a part of the west side community of Saskatoon. It lies (generally) north of the outskirts of the City and the Rural Municipality of Corman Park No. 344, west of downtown Saskatoon, and the Core Neighbourhoods SDA, south of the North West Industrial SDA, and east of the new Blairmore SDA.
