In 1992, the Wing's aircraft took part in Operation Deny Flight and Operation Provide Promise in Yugoslavia, and in Operation Southern Watch over Iraq. [5] In June 1994 CVW-17 was transferred to USS Enterprise, homeported in Norfolk, Virginia.
