Yes! So i have MGD/ dry eye from taking accutane (not from ocular rosacea) but the treatment is the same, and im in a few dry eye groups on fb and legit sooo many people with ocular rosacea find relief from it. Like they say people with OR respond best to it vs dry eye from other causes.
Ocular rosacea symptoms more often include things like a persistent feeling of having something in the eye, or red/puffy eyelids (blepharitis). Cylindrical "dandruff" around the eyelashes in the morning is a potential telltale too.

Ocular rosacea haver. Doxycycline, steroid eye drops, desonide steroid ointment, and later on, Soolantra (ivërmëctïn) topical ointment, all of these and the in-clinic application of radio frequency to warm up and liquefy fossilized oil/meibium, have been part of my treatment plan. I have Ocular Rosacea which is mostly fine throughout the day however by the time evening comes around, my eyes are extremely bloodshot red. I fixed my Ocular Rosacea by having IPL done by my Eye Doctor. I developed dry eye, MGD, along with all the inflammation on my lids etc. About 10 years ago an eye doctor came up with the idea of using IPL for patients suffering from Dry Eye, which a lot of ppl with Rosacea experience. I had it done, about 3 sessions and have temporary plugs in ...
I haven’t had it confirmed, but my eyes are in a bad way. I have thin veins and redness on the eyelid margins, dry gritty eyes and photosensitivity. It’s so painful!! Any advice on treatment? I’m using eye cleansers, 0.5% hypomellose eye drops, hycosan ointment at night and warm compress twice a day. Zero improvement on symptoms. Send ...
Rating everything I’ve tried for ocular rosacea. Ocular. If you, like me, have won the absolute shittiest rosacea lottery and have eye issues due to ocular rosacea, I hope this list helps you. Eye mask/warm compresses. I splurged on a plug in one from Amazon ($100ish), and it was a good purchase. My cheeks no longer flare up when I do an eye ...
Unfortunately, I developed ocular rosacea in my right eye a couple of months ago. I thought that it was an infection and went to my primary care doc who broke the unfortunate news that this was a continuation of my rosacea. My doctor suggested doxycycline but said i could try baby soap cleansing first. The baby soap has not worked at all, and i ...
Ocular rosacea is one of the worst things that has happened to me. The simple fact of walking quickly hurts my eyes because the slightest breath of speed burns them. I work in an ice rink, a place that is partly cold and dry (we literally have machinery that takes the place of an entire room for drying out the building).
