The Southern Evacuation Lifeline (SELL) is a proposed 28-mile (45 km) [1] limited-access highway in Horry County, South Carolina, in the United States. [2] The project is currently underfunded, expecting to cost around $600 million, [3] and issues with the route itself still remain, as it would travel directly next to several wildlife preserves.

Lake Greenwood was formed by a hydroelectric dam built across the Saluda River near Chappells SC. The impoundment was licensed by the Federal Power Commission, predecessor to the current Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), as the Buzzards Roost Project. The project was re-licensed by FERC in 1995. The FERC Project No is P-1267.
