Battle Hunter, known in Japan as Battle Sugoroku: Hunter (バトルすごろく ハンター, Batoru Sugoroku Hantā) and in Europe as The Hunter, is an anime-styled tactical role-playing game, released for the PlayStation in 1999. It was released in Japan as part of the SuperLite 1500 series of budget games.
Aiden is rescued by Julius, a Hunter from the guild, and learns from him that the monster that took the livestock, an anthropomorphic, catlike creature called a Melynx, was the true culprit and the tracks Aiden was following were fake. Aiden finds the hideout of the Melynx, named Nox. Aiden captures Nox and brings him to the village to show Julius.
