Farm to Market Road 450 (FM 450) is a 30.6-mile-long (49.2 km) route that runs through Harrison, Marion, and Upshur counties in northeastern Texas. It begins in western Harrison County at the intersection of FM 968 and FM 2625 (the latter also ends here) and travels north towards Hallsville .
Farm to Market Road 2625 (FM 2625) is located in Harrison County. FM 2625 begins at an intersection with FM 968 / FM 450 south of Hallsville. The highway travels in a southern / southeastern direction, turning east at a private county road, intersects FM 3251 near the Brandy Branch Reservoir, then intersects SH 43 near the Cave Springs Cemetery.
On May 25, 1955, the road was extended northeast 1.1 miles (1.8 km) over former US 59 to FM 134 near Jefferson. On January 29, 1959, the road was extended southwest 1.5 miles (2.4 km) to FM 450. FM 2256 was cancelled on December 31, 1959, and transferred to FM 2208. [118]

Ore City is situated about 13 miles northeast of Gilmer at the junction of U.S. Highway 259 and FM 450. [4] 20 miles north of Longview, Texas. Four miles north of Ore City is Lake O' the Pines. Ore City is part of a larger area known as the East Texas, Piney Woods. The city and the surrounding area boast a number of impressive specimens.
