Edenwold (2016 population: 233) is a village in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan within the Rural Municipality of Edenwold No. 158 and Census Division No. 6. It is located 45 km (28 mi) north of the City of Regina .
The RM of Edenwold No. 158 incorporated as a rural municipality on December 9, 1912. [2] In the late 1950s, the Trans-Canada Highway was completed and living outside of Regina began to become a popular option for those who wanted to commute to work in the city. Since then, the RM has seen significant population growth.
White Butte is a region in southern Saskatchewan that comprises the Rural Municipality (RM) of Edenwold No. 158, the towns of White City, Pilot Butte, and Balgonie, and the village of Edenwold. A largely suburban area; it is located directly east of Regina. As of 2021, White Butte has a total population of 12,805.
White Butte Recreation Site was established in 1982 as a result of the lobbying of the provincial government by members of the Regina Ski Club, the Saskatchewan Natural History Society, and numerous other interested persons. The first trails — Cherry and Snowberry — were completed in 1983.
