The Academies of Loudoun (ACL) is a magnet school in Leesburg, Virginia.It is part of Loudoun County Public Schools, and houses three schools with a focus on STEM education: The Academy of Engineering and Technology (AET), The Academy of Science (AOS), and the Monroe Advanced Technical Academy (MATA).
The Academy of Science program was established in 2005 as a magnet program for Loudoun County high school students. The program is highly competitive with an acceptance rate of 15%. The Loudoun County Captain Band, formerly Loudoun County Raider Band, has been a Virginia honor band every year since 2004. [10] The marching band won the 4A US BANDS National Championship in 2018 [ 11 ] and 5A US BANDS National Championships in 2019 with the highest score of all time in the A class division. [ 12 ]

For the 2022–2023 school year, Dominion's student body is 39% Hispanic, 36% White, 15% Asian, 6% Black, and 4% Other. [2] In 2005, Dominion was the host of the Loudoun Academy of Science, a part-time magnet school program for Loudoun County students. In 2018, the Academy of Science moved out of Dominion and formed the Academies of Loudoun. [3]
