The Chantilly-Tiffany or Chantilly/Tiffany, also known as the Chantilly or the Foreign Longhair, was a breed of domestic cat which originated in the late-1960s in North America. [1] The Chantilly breed never got off the ground and has always been rare. [2] [3] It was near-extinction in the late-1980s and again in the late-2000s.
It is different from the European Tiffanie and the North-American Chantilly-Tiffany. The Tiffanie from the UK is also originating from crossbreeding chinchilla Persian and Burmese cats. As of May 2024, the breed is still extinct and the only cat registry open for pedigree registration of the Chantilly is the Canadian CCA-AFC. Longhair cats without pedigree registration are not considered Chantilly(-Tiffany) cats, but Domestic Longhair cats. YukiKoKo 18:33, 22 May 2024 (UTC)
