This is a list of fictional characters featured in the Cosmic Era (CE) timeline of the Gundam anime metaseries.These characters appear in the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED and Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny anime television series, the sequel film Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom, as well as in the manga and OVA spinoffs.
The series is set in an alternate version of the Universal Century timeline, far apart from the original Mobile Suit Gundam series' continuity where Char Aznable stole the RX-78-2 White Gundam developed by the Earth Federation and became its pilot instead of Amuro Ray, renaming it the "Red Gundam".
The Bandai Namco Group announced the "Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Project ignited" initiative during the opening ceremony for the life-size Freedom Gundam statue in Shanghai in May 2021.
