The Xavier Institute was one of the fictional schools situated at X-Mansion in the Marvel Universe, published in American comic books by Marvel Comics. The school was originally opened as Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters by Professor Xavier and served as the home of the X-Men and New Mutants .
